Wow man, very nice! I love the hinged tail light and the Subbie tank came out nice. Lots of ideas for me if I ever feel ambitious! Would be nice to have nearly 80 gallons! I'd only have to get gas once every couple weeks then...

The burb tank was an afterthought for me. I only decided to go this route because as soon as I stared working on the truck one of the saddle tanks started to leak. It's actually a funny story....the truck was in the garage for 3 weeks prior to me staring the work and never dripped a drop. I jack the truck up and start to cut the stock leaf hangers(sparks flying everywhere) and I get a whiff of gas. Sure enough one of the tanks is leaking! Well now I am mad because I have to stop everything else to deal with this so I said F*ck it and ripped both tanks out!

Actually I am going up to a friends camp in colebrook NH in a few weeks to go snowmobiling. His camp is only 15 minutes from Canada! This would be where NH meets Canada, how far are you from that point?

Thats about 7 or so hours from me and it's been brought to my attention i can't cross to the USA as i don't have my pass port lol Dam new rules

Funny, I was just looking back through this thread to see if you were using the twin 20s and the 38 gal Sub tank or just the sub tank. I was thinking it would be cool to leave the 20s in there and run a transfer pump from the sub tank to one of the 20s... But probably safer, smarter to rig the sub tank to the TBI and then run transfer pumps from the 20s to that...

And even as I type this I can imagine myself driving down the road, looking into the rear view mirror and seeing fuel pouring out of my tail light because I forgot to shut off the transfer pump!

I am very happy I went with the single burb tank. After giving it a lot of thought there are several advantages...

1. I found I was only filling/using 1 tank because of the pain of having to move the truck to fill the second tank. This was even a bigger problem when towing the boat because I am usually only driving the truck when towing(not sure if that will still be the case now that it will be all customized )

2. I wanted a simpler setup, no fuel switch inside the truck, no transfer valve on the frame, etc.

3. Now I have a brand new tank, new sender and new lines. Plus it will have a cool filler!

4. Safer!

Unless you really need that much fuel onboard i would think about simplifying the install and maybe just going with the single burb tank. Just my 2 cents

My airlift 5000 was waiting for me when I got home from work today. I started to test fit the bag assemblies. I am a bit concerned that with my current drop I can only get 5.25" of clearance between the upper and lower bracket. When I put the bed back on I will probably be below 5". The instructions that came with the kit state a range of 5-8" is required between the brackets. I posted a question in the 73-87 and suspension forums to see if anyone else has had this problem on lowered trucks

I've been on there checking for all of that 'great info' & must be looking in the wrong place. Absolutely nothing like this site or Lateral-g (my most frequent stops).

502ss, what are the bag specs? My 74 was set-up similarly (GM truck w/an AOL set-up using dbl convoluted bags). I recall my dimensions being about 5" apart for the upper/lower mounts.

Oh sorry it hasnt been help full. all my wheel and tire Q's i have found good info on and stuff about my square dually (they seem to be the fav over there)
