Re: New life for an old 2wd, farm Blazer
Yes, it is 514 red. I do have exhaust filters. There still in a box, outside of the booth. LOL! And yes, tunes are a MUST HAVE! A little fresh paint always seems to get people fired up!
I'll try to get more pics up during the week.

Re: New life for an old 2wd, farm Blazer
I've been trying to post pics, at least every weekend, but I've been really busy.
Here are a few. With the firewall and inside squirted, I decided to epoxy, and undercoat the bottom side next.

Re: New life for an old 2wd, farm Blazer
I'm going to mount the body back on the body, before I paint the outside. Now I need to get the chassis ready. (I guess I missed a few shots while spraying.)

Re: New life for an old 2wd, farm Blazer
And some new pieces finally getting bolted back on. It's always a good feeling to see parts going back on, after spending so much time seeing them come off!

Re: New life for an old 2wd, farm Blazer
Some more pics of chassis assembly. I recommend taking pics of EVERY nut, bolt, and bracket, before you remove it. It will make life a lot easier when you start putting it together!

Re: New life for an old 2wd, farm Blazer
Looks really good dude, I like your parts "cage" you use to hang shtuff for paint in the booth. What epoxy do you use that's red? Do you like it? I'm not happy with what most companies have done to the epoxy available up here to conform with the low voc money grab; thin and no meat to it at all.

Turp, Where did you get those cool brake lines from? Were they prebent or did you do all the bending an fitting?
Thanks Evan Q. |

Re: New life for an old 2wd, farm Blazer
When I used to work out of my garage, I had hooks screwed into the ceiling everywhere. With the booth, I had to make something to hang parts from. I put wheels on the bottom of one rack, so I can roll it out of the booth with parts attached, if I need to.
I really miss the original DP epoxy, back when it still had lead in it. I mostly use RM (BASF) for my paint products. I think their epoxy comes in red, black, and gray. I like it just fine. Seems like EVERYTHING has been losing its "meat" for the last several years. I have been getting all of my brake and fuel lines from Inline Tube. I also use their complete e-brake cable kits. In my opinion, the pre-bent lines are the only way to go. I usually use stainless instead of the tin coated. I have not had any problems to speak of, and I have used their lines on a lot of different vehicles.
