Re: My 52 GMC Build

So the brown truck showed up today with my upgraded transmission controller. Going from the Quick 1 to the Quick 4. Tons more options for setting up the shift points, pressures and firmness per gear. It will also hold 4 different shift patterns and can detect trans slip. I will set up to my liking "normal", "trailer", "burnout" and "dragrace". I hope to get it plugged in and set up next week, it uses the plugs I already have.

Ya if anything bugs you about an auto you can change it. I can even make it a manual shift.

Re: My 52 GMC Build

So some big news at my house.... I'm building a shop in my back yard. Just a little 30X40 with heat and hydro and a 4 post hoist. I'm so excited I have never had a heated play house before. Construction should start around the end of July.
Something like this.

Re: My 52 GMC Build

Lowered

I'm in the middle of building my 28 X 40 shed with hydronic radiant in the floor, using a 50 gal hot water heater. Still working on the details

Do the research on what to do for hydronic heating for your area I guaranty if done correctly, you'll wonder how you lived without it.

I've done this before: 6 mil visqueen, 2" Styrofoam, 4" expansion joint for the perimeter, net wire fence (it's cheaper), to zip tie the tube to the netting (I'm going 8" on centers, with no run longer that 300") then the concrete, I recommend 6 bag mix to lesson the cracking. Stricke the concrete don't saw cut!!! up front costs is twice the cost of other heating systems but much cheaper to run. No more cold floors, and work when it is below 0, coldest I have experienced is -20. I know in the states we don't know the cold that you folks have in your neighborhood.

I'm running on, PM if you have any other questions. Your truck is fandamtastic.

Strong work.

Keep on keepin on

No I am cutting the back wall out to make garage a drive though. Then putting barn doors on both sides.

Construction is planned to start end of July.

Re: My 52 GMC Build

Very cool, thanks for sharing! Great job on the "Most Radical".

I see he has a 12v flux capacitor, much less energy to run than 1.6 gigawatts!

Re: My 52 GMC Build

So this Saturday I'll be entering my first burn out contest. I got my used tires mounted today from my sponsor shop Woodside tire in Kitchener. I just have to get them on the truck. I also got my upgraded trans controller hooked up and I'll program tomorrow.

Have fun and enjoy it! Congrats on the award with your truck too! The new trans controller sounds killer. I have a 95 F350 with a 7.3 and when it dies it's getting a 6 cylinder. It would be cool to use the E40D but I don't know if I will or not. The adapters are still big money.

Ya making some stuff work together can be real tricky or expensive sometimes.
