The trim is definitely going on! It's been patiently waiting up in my attic for 8 or 9 years, but it will probably be the last thing I put on.

Currently working on installing the rest of the headliner. I'm adding a 2nd overhead light in the rear to help out on the lighting. Hopefully will have this done this week. I still need 3 nice plastic headliner bows if anyone has some stashed away.....

Thanks Doug. I'll keep looking, but for now I'm just going to paint the ones I have either a similar color to the FRP board or silver. I'm doing a couple of sample tests to see which one I like. Maybe I'll find some nice originals later.

It was a real nice day here yesterday, so while out data-logging I stopped and snapped some more pictures. I really love the way the colors pop out in the sun, !

Well...it's not totally done, . I still have a lot of small things to do. There is a lot of satisfaction in seeing a project through, however I wish it hadn't taken so long. And, there are a few things I would have done differently, but I suppose every project is like that.

It looks fantastic!!!! Bravo. Your build keeps me motivated!

The problem with taking soooo long to finish a vehicle is you have way too much time to think about changes. I unfortunately listened to the voices in my head when my vehicle was out of production and am now making all those changes. It will take a little bit longer but it will be just that much better!!!!

Still working on the interior. All seatbelts are installed, finishing up carpet, hidden gas lid pull, and wiring the heated seats, .

It's looking absolutely fantastic! Your's was one of the Projects I read over and over again when I was contemplating my Young Frankenstein Crew Cab build, I kept thinking - ok all these guys are just tearing into these truck and doing custom sheet metal work and EVERYTHING else - I can do this. Congrats on seeing it through. I know how life can get in the way - didn't let it happen on Young Frankie, but it is definitely happening on my 57 Buick Roadmaster project right now.

Anyway, just wanted to say how awesome it is looking.

I'm also curious, what would you have done differently?

Thanks Drew, your truck has always been one of my favorites. As far as "different", I wouldn't change the overall theme of the Burb as I still love the way it looks and I think I've come close to accomplishing my original goal of building a Super Cheyenne Suburban that Chevrolet "could of" built. Sometimes I think I could have already been done if I wouldn't have messed with the taillights and tailgate or not been so particular on making everything look so authentic. I love how they turned out but they presented some big obstacles time and money wise and I'm still working through a few issues to get them to look and operate like I feel they should. And there are several things that have cost a considerable amount money that most people will consider small details or won't even notice. But, I think most of these feelings come from having taken so long to finish it up. Other than that, there have been so many advances in the number and quality of the types of parts that you can get now, especially for the LS swaps. When I started this, a 5.3/4L60 was the motor to have! While my setup will provide more than adequate power to do everything I want to do, I sometimes look at the new LSA's/LT4 connect and cruise setups and want to back up and install one of them! . But then I come to my senses and realize how foolish that would be. Anyway, my apologies for the long winded answer and thanks for your support!

Every time I look at this picture I can't get over how your layout of the color has made such an impact on how the body looks. I would almost swear you have a bunch of hidden body modifications.

Thanks HO455, I am pleased on how the colors came out. I'm excited to see how it looks with the trim on it, as that's where the rubber will meet the road.....

I have an idea, but I'm waiting on someone to confirm that you can get a wire up through the bolt in the corner to the top of the headliner. I don't mind redrilling the hole I welded up, as long as I know it will allow me to run my wires correctly.
