Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

Excuse my ignorance but they did not make a short box crew cab square???

To make one you put a crew cab on a Suburban chassis with a short box??

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

The only crews made were long beds. The suburban frames aren't even close to being right. The short bed crews are either the long frame shortened or some have grafted on the rear section of a 1/2 ton short bed frame.
If it is cut down, 14" are removed behind the cab and 5" cut off the rear of the frame then you can bolt on a short bed.

only the front of it and he grafted on a short bed rear frame, did you actually read the thread or just look at the pics?

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

Just picked up this 84 2 weeks ago! It was a texas one owner truck its entire life. The frame looks brand new and other then the clearcoat peeling from the texas sun the body is in great shape. I cant keep the colors because they just wont match the graphics I plan to put on the boat. I bought this truck for one reason and that is to tow the boat. Stay tuned for future MODS!

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

Suburban frame... Why did you choose a burb frame? That makes the bed 5' long, kinda like a big Honda Ridgeline or Avalanche.
