All brand new Trim Parts pieces, I won't use anything else. They are as nice as some NOS pieces I have seen.

Redrilled frame and installed spacers to use 69 and later PS box, custom brackets so Richard can haul his new baby around using the new car seats correctly, and fenders hung on truck. More pics tommorrow.

Re: New Project at Musclerodz - '68 K20
Small update. Driveshafts are out being lengthened and shortened, new 3 point seat belts stabed for fitment check, A/C finally mounted which uncovered I have the wrong combination of pulleys installed. Now I am on the hunt for new pulleys, and a few parts I have misplaced in the shop. Once those are installed, we will be able to finish up the dash, install the core support and wiring, and fire this puppy up.

Re: New Project at Musclerodz - '68 K20
It's been awhile since an update, and since my buddy and I visited Mike a couple of weeks ago, I thought I'd show you some of the progress. I continue to be amazed by Mike's craft, so thank you Mike! I also want to thank Brady Redus of the Auto Appraisal Network in Edmond who recently appraised my truck and provided these pics.
As of this writing, Mike is running my truck through road tests, and doing the final fit and finish, preparing her for a grand homecoming. It's been just about 2 years since I sent her to Mike for the frame off, and I can't wait to get her home. This first set of pics shows the side, front and rear views of an "almost finished" truck. This is the original factory color, not exactly orange, not exactly red. Just keeps you guessing, and looks incredible out in the natural sun. You'll also notice the truck did not come with the side chrome usually found on CST's in 1968, which I elected to keep off as well and think makes for a very cool look. The mirrors are also back to stock. Finally, check out Mike's work on the factory lettering on the tailgate. I had the option to go with black, but very, very happy I kept it original white. The "Chevrolet" individual chrome lettering on the front of the hood will be back by the time I get her back.

Re: New Project at Musclerodz - '68 K20
To the interior . . . This is an upgraded dash. My original did not have a tach and only had lights instead of gauge's. Plus, note the square GM bolt on the dash under the wiper-washer hole. That is original and was used where the wiper-washer hole now appears on my new dash. You can see it attached tp the original dash on page 1 of this thread. Mike incorporated the bolt into my new dash. I'm getting factory A/C, which you can see new vents in the middle and bottom pics, plus new controls for the A/C in the bottom pic. Don't worry, this is a factory 4WD, the 4WD shifter hole in the bottom pic just has not been cut in the new carpet yet.

Re: New Project at Musclerodz - '68 K20
Some engine compartment pics . . . A couple of items to note in here . . . One ton brake booster and factory A/C compressor. Decals will be added where appropriate. Mike's working on the clutch master as of this picture, but is done with it now. One item you cannot see is the 2nd battery tray, a factory option in 1968 which Mike added to my truck. Also note the new big block 4 core radiator and new A/C condenser. I went back with the original 327 (rebuilt) motor and since it cannot be rebuilt any more, opted to buy a 1968 396 rebuilt motor which I have in storage, assuming some day the 327 will give out. Who knows, maybe not too soon, but will need the bigger radiator to keep that beast cool.
