Re: How do I make the truck loud???

Did you make sure the alternator is full? That'll help make it louder. The shorter the glasspacks are, the louder it'll be. Usually you can find 'em in 12's, 18's, 24's, and 30's. I have 18's on my truck with dual 2 1/4" pipes that are 45'ed behind the rear tires and it's loud enough for me. It rumbles at an idle and it really talks when I put the hammer down. If you like the sound leave it alone, that's what i'd do.

Thumbs down Re: How do I make the truck loud???

Put some turn up's that run into the cab and "floor" it until you can't smell it anymore. Then invite all your dead friends to join you with all the noise. Yeah that's cool.

Rumor has it that if you use the new graphite impregnated, teflon coated muffler bearings in your exhaust...it will add at least 30db of sound.

An A-frame would be nice with a loft. But you`d want a quiet truck up in the mountains. You don`t want your neighbors timing you from the bottom.

Re: How do I make the truck loud???

nobodys came up with self dispensing quarter sticks? self lighter, and they just drop out the back. Only problem is you gotta keep it above 50mph otherwise your gonna need new tailights...quite often because it cracks them and you lose all your blinker fluid, and apparently thats a health hazard nowadays.

I set off a couple of those a few years back during the Carlise all truck nats in the hotel lawn... Talk about drawing attention... I ended up in handcuffs that night.... Timing is everything...

Re: How do I make the truck loud???

Screw it, just pull every bit of exhaust off including the headers. Get a fire extinguisher and fire it up!

Kidding, out of all the options people are listing I don't know how you're going to be able to pick one

If it were me I'd run the smallest glass pack just for tone through the smallest length of pipe possible.
