Re: Bazooka's 63 build thread.
Yeah Austin is an hour away, maybe I need to look there. I was actully looking for somewhere in East texas that's where my truck is at. I just would hate to have to carry the tube over 4 hours.

Re: Bazooka's 63 build thread.
No update pics yet havent had a chance to stop by the shop. I did order my headers today though..
I was looking for a cheaper alternative to the hookers at $400. I ended up ordering these ceramic coated headers. I found them for $180 shipped on evil bay. Some of the guys on here are using these on bagged trucks and think they would fit even better on a truck with a SD crossmember or PB dropmember.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SBC-C...item5882ecffd1 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=346197 Last edited by Bazooka; 11-05-2009 at 05:47 PM. |

Re: Bazooka's 63 build thread.
Id wait till you get the engine dropped in and see if there is clearance for the steering shaft. My stock ram horn manifolds wouldnt work..

Re: Bazooka's 63 build thread.
headers came in. they are very nice for the price. well worth the money... after seeing these I def wouldnt buy the $400 hookers..
engine and trans are out of the truck along with the stock front suspension stuff. Just a bare set of frame rails in the engine compartment. the suspension and chassis work should be wrapped up real soon. I will be able to bring my truck home. couldnt get any good pics was to dark in the shop when I stopped by. will update again soon hopefully.. Last edited by Bazooka; 11-13-2009 at 03:12 AM. |

Re: Bazooka's 63 build thread.
Nice work on the trans mount. I think I may have to do the same thing. I put my crossmember as low as I could for exhaust to go, but my pinion is off. Anyone had a mount 1 1/2" larger then stock. and do you see a problem with it.
