Right on glad to hear you are putting her to work. New rubber too or just wheels?

I'd like to get some new rubber. I want some BFG all terrains in either a 32x11.00 or 33x10.50. I keep going back and forth on whether to buy them right now. The tires on it now still have a bunch of life in them so I feel like I'm wasting money if I get new rubber now. I have 16ft. utility trailer that needs tires. If I can fit the current tires on the trailer I wouldn't feel so bad about it. Not sure if 31's will fit on the trailer. Your projects are looking good! I'm still following along. Nice score on the plow truck! |

Nice truck and really like the red. Glad to see that rig go back together instead of sittin in pieces, and good call on ditching the NBS bed. It's cool to see a project rig runnin, drivin and out doin stuff.

I really liked your truck with the rally's, but got to say I think I like the new wheels on your truck better! Truck looks fantastic!

I am in the same boat as you... I used to hate hub caps... but for whatever reason I really like em... like you said maybe we're getting old...

Re: 87' 4x4
So it's been awhile now, are you pleased with the v/a system ? I am at the point of having to change my factory system and have decided to go aftermarket. It seems pricey but on a hot Texas day worth every penny.

Re: 87' 4x4
I'd be interested to hear an update as well. Another question I will add is does the blower motor push more air than the factory blower motor? I ask this because my truck is a CC so volume becomes important for faster cool down

Re: 87' 4x4
The Vintage Air system is great. It's one of the best things I've done to the truck. The fan blows hard. It's cold in the summer and hot in the winter. I haven't had any problems with it. On the truck I had before this one, I rebuilt the factory system and it still didn't blow very cold.

Since you were looking for a factory looking style this look is the best l personally really dislike rally's on almost everything. You have a beautiful truck congrats.
