Re: How about some pics of Static Dropped C-10's

Ripped some heated coils out and installed 2.5" spindles and 2" springs. Also did the lca mod to gain caster. Had to "massage" the upper spring pocket as the coil also moves forward when the lca moves . After that a little work all fits great. This is with 15x8 torque thrust II and 235/60x15. The tire/wheel combo will do for now but I see changes in the future. Once I get the bed back on I'll post up more. A couple of pics...

5.5" drop up front and 5" in the rear

I'll be throwing these rims on it and dropping rear another 2" before summer is over.

Looks good man! Although, another LWB dead! RIP

What wheel / tire on the back? I'm ready to pull the trigger on springs and am struggling with what to get. I'll be 15x8 - 4.25 BS - 235/60-15 and 15x10 - 4.25 BS - 295/50-15. I've already got the 2.5" drop spindles and was all along thinking just a 1" spring to go with that, but seeing yours makes me wonder....

Sorry to not have responded sooner! I have the wheel/tire combo as you will be running. I hope to change that next year long with some wheel tub extensions (hint, hint). I am very happy with how my height turned out. I have decent ground clearance. I plan to drive this a lot and don't intend to nurse it in/out of parking lots and over those stinkin speed bumps. I did the lca relocation and had to do a little massaging on my spring pockets in the upper a arm and also had to notch the lower a arm to clear. Here is a pic after I lined the bed up with the cab.

What did you do in the rear? I was thinking a 5" spring and a little block to perfect the pinion angle? I've already done the trailing arm mounting bracket flip. 295/50-15 on 10"x15" - 4-1/4"bs.

Thanks for the advise!

I used some 72 El Camino coils and made a 2" drop block. I did the trailing arm mount flip but I need to check the pinion angle now that I have the bed back on. It's always good to compare notes!
