Re: My 76
Yeah, OK. I was just thinking of a way to stretch out the paint you've got. Carry on .

Re: My 76
Alright, well I got a question for ya. If I am gonna paint the inside of the door jams blue, and the interior black, where do I blend the two together at? Like the whole inside of the cab will be black with some blue accents in it. But the inside of the doors, were the door panels and stuff are, is all gonna be blue. How should I do this?

Re: My 76
You can paint the black inside to the weatherstrip pinch weld and the inside surface of the door black as well, so when your doors are closed everything's black. Still paint the door "jamb" part of the door the outside color.
If your dad's Mustang has black interior, you'll see what I mean.

Re: My 76
I see what you mean now, just went and looked at it. What kinda tape should I use to get a nice clean line? Or would it look better if I could some how blend the blue into the black?

Re: My 76
I'd just tape it off. You can use fine line tape but, regular 3/4" tape will work for you.

Re: My 76
Duplicolor One stage black from autozone. Unless you got another sugestion that is under $30. Ive used the one stage before on my 86 I had, it held up pretty good and looked decent. And on my doors, there are little rust holes at the bottom, really small, would it hurt anything if I just put some rust converter on them and primed and painted?
Here is what I am talking about And here is the door as a whole Ive been wire brushing the bottom for the past hour, getting most the rust off.

Re: My 76
This stuff is all you need just put it on and paint thats it, But it does get pricey so the best thing for you to do is spray the area with rust converter and use some body filler for the pits and some primer and paint. Thats what i would do...

Re: My 76
Yeah, I'm not familiar with the Duplicolor. I was just concerned with the paint lifting when you spray the second color.

Got the driver side door jam painted. Waiting for it to dry so I can hang the door. I will get the passenger side hopefully by tomorrow.

Re: My 76
It will look a lot better when I sand it down with some like 400 grit and then clear it. But thanks for the suggestion on how to paint it..

Re: My 76
Thanks man, another small up-date. Last one for the day, after this I am going to relax lol. I got the floor painted. I also started on the other door so I can get it done and hung up tomorrow.
Lol, you can see where I painted and were it was already painted. And I traded my roll pan that came off this truck for this.
