Hey that's a really good idea. Did I fail to mention that rules and exclusions can be changed without notice?

one more

looks like it will be quite a difference, all the bulbs are 168's

as you can see I painted the back of the cluster white too (just to clean it up) and painted the front of the outer cover also...I wasn't sure about it, but it worked out nice, kinda gives it a halo effect with the lights on. I still haven't switched out the needles, but I did find that the plug in my truck has a jumper from the fuel gauge wire to the other position so it will work with either gauge the big or the little so it is just a plug and play !!!

I wasn't planning on doing any swapping tonight, but I pulled the old cluster out to compare the plugs, so I think I will go ahead and put the new cluster in. I still need to run the wires for the tach so it won't be working yet, but oh well......

Back to it...I just had to share

I think this thing has been out in the sun for years, the needles are all white and very brittle, I broke the voltmeter too. replaced it with my old one, but now it reads way high, maybe it is the guage, dunno. Also the old speedo broke, not the needle but the tiny little shaft coming out of the speedo broke off in the needle

so John if you are reading this I need another speedo needle.

Yeah and that is just regular old incandescent bulbs...now I'm thinking about LED's...also if you are gonna run incandesent use the 168's they are brighter (thanks BLE 'BURBAN!!!)

so here is a comparison with the new in the truck(it is my DD, have to drive to work tomorrow )

That looks awesome man! Turned out great! It will look even brighter when you go with the LED's.

I'll bring the whole extra gauge cluster by. So if you need any of the other stuff you'll have it.
