electric fan control questions
i went to autozone and pepboys looking for a temp. sending switch to control my fans. all i found were the cheap ones that had the probe that you stuck in the radiator. i'm looking for a sending unit that will go into the head or something to get a more acurate reading.

That's like the style (not exaclty the same) that I had but got rid of it. For some reason it would come on when it got hot outside. I had it hooked directly to the battery in case the truck ever got hot and I shut it off it would still cool. Well after draining my battery too many times I went with a manual switch. I flip it on and off as needed which isn't very much at all.

Use the Painless Electric Fan wiring kits. They are first class. The thermo switch is mounted in the block.

I recommend the Painless wiring kit too. Now as for starting your truck when it's hot try this little gadget. http://www.newark.com/NewarkWebComme...jsp?id=93F4617
