NP 203 problems

I have a '79 K-10 with a TH350 and an NP203 that is still full time. Hi-loc works fine but when I put it in lo-loc the light does not come on in the dash and I can spin the rear wheels like it's only sending power to the rear--any ideas?
Thanks

You are not all of the way in gear. It is pretty common with those shifters.
They get stiff and sticky inside from the water/mud etc. It is a fairly easy thing to fix though. It is far easier off of the truck though. Pretty much all you ahve to do is take it apart, clean the plates/levers and lube it up as you put it back together. I have redone dozens of them and I've never seen anything actually broken or wrong.......just gunked up.

Thanks LONGHAIR--I pulled the boot and cover off and lubed from the top and got it working!! It's still pretty gunked up so when I get more time I'll take everything apart and clean it up.
