PST Front End Rebuild Kit
I ordered the original rubber front end rebuild kit for my chassis last week. I added the inner tie rods and the trailing arm bushings.
Now that I am assembling everything, I notice there are no tire rod end sleeves so I call them up. They are not included in the kit I ask why and all he tells me is they are available for $12 each. I hit my local auto parts store and bought Moog sleeves for the same price. Another thing, both Upper ball joints do not move at all. The lowers are fine, but the uppers are stiff as nails. Is this normal? I would expect them to move just as easily as the lowers? So far I'm not very impressed with their 'kit' |

I've used several PST kits, my Blazer and several 60s Fords.
For the money, they are a good kit. I usually buy all Moog stuff locally, but it costs lots more than the PST kit does. They probably don't include adjuster sleeves because they aren't a wear item and most folks re-use the old ones. New ball joints are stiff a heck usually. Just lightly tap them with a block of wood to get them pointed right to go into the spindle holes. After installation and greasing, they will loosen up with driving the truck.
