Picked this one up in San Dimas ,ca

Want to see if I overpaid ? got a steal? This is a 69 k5 had been garaged since 1979. Bought from original owner. Has minor crack on fiberglass top.
Came with 350 not running auto trans 72 front/rear suspension w/ disks(frontonly) and egg crate grille. owner was in process of restoration had primered exterior and had half of interior painted. He had installed a winch behind the bumper, had many parts rechromed, had a/c (disconnected), tilt wheel , cruise control, and a near mint dash with tach and wood trim, have checked everywhere and no rust

I want to know what you guys think?(paid$3500)

Nice find, 69's are rare. Front grill/hood/bumper is off of 71-72(in case you did not know).

Thanks for all of your responses. Hope to here from more of you.
To start off I have 3 trucks. Yes, 3trucks. 68 short bed fleet side, 72 suburban 3/4ton 402bb, and my last 69 k5. My plans for them are always on hold till money allows.
When I do have time to start like with the 68 I found the suburban at a local body shop getting ready to go to Japan. The owner had given up on it and I paid $1300 for it. Then saved for about 2years for drive train mods then while on internet saw ad “In storage over 20yrs $4kobo”. Took a drive and brought it home the next day.

Trucker,
Would it be possible for you to post some under hood pics and also interior pics? I am collecting shots of 69's for reference and would appreciate it.

thanks,
jakeslim

If she is rust free, I'm thinking you got a great deal, especially if you bought it in CA.
Definitely post up some more rides of this one and your other classics! Welcome to a great board.
