Finished Truck- for now
Well, Ive been working on ths truck for a while now but i finally got it close to how i want it. Now I am working on motor, transmission, and rear end. It now has a 500hp 377 which i built 3 months ago. Rebuilding trans right now, and putting 4 links and tubbing it in the future. I just wondering what yall think. I have lots more pics but i dont have time to scan them right now.
If the pic doesnt work ill try to fix it.

the engine is a 400 small block destoked to a 377. The motor is completely roller, and has aluminum heads, intake, and holley 750 double pumper. .600" max lift cam in it. I havent had it on a dyno yet but my dad friend drag races and is very knowledgeable with motors and drove my truck. He said i porbaly have 500 at the rear wheels.

yeah i have heard from other people about dyno runs, but oh well i am not worried about dyno mainly i care about how hard the truck puts me back in the seat. I want my truck to have enough power that im afraid to put it to the floor but i havent reached that point yet but someday i hope i can.

Good answer....don't worry about putting a horsepower number on it, seat of the pants impression is a good measure of power; as some say, I can pass everything on the road, except the gas station! P.S. very nice truck |

yes so true. The fact that the insurance company will only let me have liability sucks and if i wreck my 69 they will only give me what its worth without all the time and money i have put into it. I hate that ranger but its a gas getter and if someones runs into me i could care less.

Hey c10-377,
I was just wondering how much you lowered your truck? It has a stance that is similar to what I want for mine. Also what did you use to lower it (i.e. springs/spindles)? Thanks |

Did you drive it ugly with a wailin' motor in it? That's always fun to beat some one in a POS looking ride Quote:

Yeah, I have the Mazda version of the Ranger, a 4-banger at that, they definately left the balls off these trucks. 0-60 in about two minutes.
