I have a pneumatic one that I've used to do repair panel work on three rides so far with absolutely no functional problems. The stepped down edge it creates makes repair panels sit flush with the original panel. I also like the hole punch because it gives me nice areas to tack with the mig. I got mine though Harbor Freight. I know many people here don't have much nice to say about Harbor freight but after two years use it still works perfect. The only problem I've found with it is it doesn't do inside corners. To address the inside corner issue, I bought a wide manual panel flanger from Eastwood. It's nothing but a glorified set of fancy vice grips with wide stepped jaws that will do the corners. I haven't tried them yet but they look like they will do what I need them to.

I have one also that I've used for patch panels and rockers. Basically, the same experiences as 82 Silverado. Think mine is made by Central Pneumatic, without any plastic parts. Have had it for about 7 years. Still works great even after loaning it out, but I don't do body work for a living. Supposedly corrosion can start between the two panels when overlapped, but I haven't had that happen yet. Apparently the proper way is to flush butt & spot weld in the panels. You might want to also ask in the Paint and Body section, where there you should get some opinions from some professional body workers.
