Question I want to Replace my front wing widows with the non-opening style, any kits ?

Hi all, I am new to this forum and could use a lot of help from all the experts out there. I am building a 85 Chevy crew-cab 3+3 1 ton 4x4 shortbed (allways wanted one). I am at the point where I am installing glass and I would like to find a kit to get rid of the front wing windows with a non-opening style, is there anything out there, I haven't been able to find anything. Please help. Thanks
Harry

There are none.

There are also no 1-piece side window kits for the 73-87 either.

Welcome to the board anyhow, and have any pics of your truck?

the main problem with out truck is that the windows are curved two ways. it would cost a pretty penny to get it custom made.

I agree we need pics, I always wanted to see a shorty crew 4x4 - how about beefing it up and making it a dually?

I second (or third?) the picture thing! Is it an OEM shortbed? Something I've always been interested in.

On a side note, it seems like any new member that has posted in the last few days starts out in triplicate? Is this a user error, or is there a bug?

Harry posted this same thread in numerous different forums, I think this is the moderators way of telling him to stop politely.

I have learned my lesson, no more triplicates. My trucks body style (73-87) was not available in a crew-cab (3+3) and short bed, and I always wanted one so I made one, I will have a picture tonight, when I figure out how to get my pixels smaller so that I can up-load. Thanks
Harry

If using a PC, the free Irfanview makes it easy to change the size of a photo. The best part is it is FREE.

OK, have a look at the picture (scroll up), I still have the dually axle on it but I am replacing it with a regular single wheel axle.

Thanks for the heads-up on picture size reduction Slonaker.

Welcome to the forum harikay. I see your already figuring things out. Your going to get a lot of us excited with your project, since I think everyone here loves the idea of a short bed crew cab.

Like the guys said, the one piece glass is a common request but no one has built one yet.You could get a wing glass cut without a hole for the handle and glue it in place.....

Nice truck. What color is that anyway?

I don't know what the color is called, when I went to the body/paint shop they gave me a collor chit and I picked this color, it reminds me of color they paint the militery officers vehicles, its a kind of glossy OD green.

You are welcome.

I love the truck. I would love to have one like that, but a lowered half ton 2WD version.

Nice looking truck, I like the 4x4 in fact I think it would look great if it were lifted more. And wouldn't you know it, I'm driving home last night and on the corner was a 4x4 3+3 dully, 89-91 in perfect shape for $4500 -why does mine need a motor right now? Anyone want me to get the number for them?
