87 GMC TBI: Fuel Pump Issues

Anyone have an idea as to why one of the fuel pumps don't ingage when switched over? I have replaced the relays, pumps, and dashboard switch. The left tank will only work intermittantly. I heard there is a switching valve on the frame that controls the gas flow for both tanks. Any suggestions?

Well you replaced everything but that so it's a good chance that's the problem.

But the first thing id'e do is remove the connector at the valve and check for Pwr. to both tanks befor you buy a new valve.
