My front sway bar brackets that are riveted to the frame are badly bent. Does anyone have the GM part number for them (2wd)? Thanks

I'm pretty sure any part riveted to the frame will not be a buyable part. Your best bet will be a junkyard. Take a hammer and chisel with you.

No, I bought mine at the dealer. My Silverado was not originally equipped with a swaybar, and I didn't want to do the chiseling thing at a junkyard, so I bought the brackets from the dealer.

I'll try to see if I can find my receipt and look up the part number. If I don't post about it tonight, send me a private message as a little reminder.

I did the same thing as Slonaker for the same reason. They were about $15 a piece.

I know this isn't the answer you want, but I just wandered into the dealership and they looked it up for me. However, having said that, I just found what I think is the receipt for the brackets. If it's right, it's listing the part number as 6271375. And they were $15.85 Canadian each.

I was told that they are available like that because they are often damaged in accidents. It makes sense.

That is the same part number as I show. Mine were $9.02 each at the dealer. Much better than spending an hour with a hammer and chisel in a bunch of oily dirt at a junkyard.

Yeah, that's the same conclusion I had. A friend and I were going to set out to do it with some cordless grinders and drills, but we were pretty sure that wouldn't last long before we were chiselling. When I found out they were only $15 a piece, I was more than happy to spend the money instead of crawling under a truck in the wreckers yard. It's bad enough crawling under the truck in good conditions to install the brackets.
