74 GMC High Sierra
This is a 74 gmc longbed. Was a 1/2 ton 454 but i've scavenged those parts and turned it into a 3/4 ton. Has a gm crate 350 now and th400. 14 bolt rear end with 3.73s. Replaced the entire front end assembly with a 3/4 ton unit as well. The 350 has unknown miles but I did take the pan off and check and everything looks brand new inside. Not a mark in the bearings and even the rods and crank are still shiney not varnished. (I put this motor in an old ladies truck in the 90s.. she drove it around town till she passed away and I inherited it).. Carb is recently overhauled, and the engine has HEI. The truck has brand new doors, and front fenders. Good tires all around. Brakes were done a few years ago then truck sat, lining should be good anyway and they seem to stop fine. New idler arm everything else seems to be tight in the front end. Power brakes, power steering, a/c cab-no compressor or brackets. New seat cover. Class V hitch. Needs to be aligned. Other than that everything seems to be great.
Ugly truck (needs paint) but would be an excellent work truck. I've driven it myself for a couple weeks just to make sure everythings in working order. No problems. $1500 OBO Truck is in southwest Washington state. Near Longview. |
