The rear brakes are squeaking and the fronts are pulsating pretty bad. I took a look and the rear wheel cylinders are not looking to good and I know that the front needs shoes so I decided that I am going to replace it all. Drums, shoes, wheel cylinders, adjusters, new hardware kit and rubber brake lines. Fifure I will start with the front first and and work my way to the right rear so that when Its time to bleed it out then its just a matter of not tighting up the bleeder valve and away I go.

Good idea to only disassemble one at a time too, so you have the opposite side as a reference and keep in mind that the right side is a mirror image of the left or vice versa. Tighten all bleed screws and only open one at a time when bleeding. Start with the proportioning/combination valve bleeder and work your way to the furthest wheel or the right rear 'till fluid runs clear and all air is evacuated.

Definately going to do one side at a time. If I have time tonight I will do the rears. I will start with the left rear and go back to the right rear and park it. I will do the fronts the the next day and once done I will start bleeding the brakes. This way I wont have to bleed them twice.

Also sweet72 when you say start with the proportioning/combination valve bleeder are you talking about a bleeder on the proportioning valve itself?

Yes I am referring to the bleeder screw on the prop valve (my 72 has it). I just realized you have a 67/68, I'm not real familiar with those years so I don't know if they came equipped w/that bleeder.
Man I love the 67/68 front clip and small rear window.

i did mine with the help of a buddy. amazing difference. it was pretty affordable too..

I didnt have as much time on it as I would have liked last night. Daddy duty took over

I jacked up the left rear and put it on a jack stand, pulled off the tire and had a look at the brakes and wheel cylinder. Shoes are almost gone and grooves are starting in the drums. With any luck tonight I should be able to get one of the rears done.
