Unlocking steering column
How the heck would you unlock the steering column without the key? I can't find the key and I need to push a truck out of the way but the column is locked

You could pull the wheel and then pull the lock ring. It can be done without the tool to compress the spring to pull off the lock ring, but pain to get back on without the tool.

Disonnect the column at the rag joint. Then you can steer by pushing the tires.
