'86 dual tanks & fuel gauge
Today when I filled my '86 K10 I switched from the PS tank to the DS tank and was surprised to see that the previously inoperable gas gauge registered full. I'm thinking that the PS sending unit has a bad ground (gauge needle just sort of hangs around the halfway mark) but before I crawl underneath and get a rust shower I figure I might as well ask if there's anything else I should be looking for in addition to the ground wire. Thanks!

I would be suspicious that you are reading the same tank on the gauge, since you say you just filled up on one tank. I had a dual tank truck that did that and left me stranded. The ground for the sender is bolted inside the frame rail, should be fairly easy to check. You will prolly have to drop the tank to do much more troubleshooting.
