Did we do good or did we bite the big one?
Just bought a new pickup.
1970 Chevy C-10 Custom 127" Wheel Base CE140S16XXXX 78,651.7 ORIGINAL MILES One owner (Verified by two different sources that know the truck). 350 cu. in. V-8 TH-350 Automatic Heavy Duty Rear Coil Springs Medium Olive Green Olive Green Custom Interior Chrome Body Side Mouldings Chrome Front Bumber AM Push Button Radio Custom Wheel Covers (Lug nut type around the rim, one missing) Truck shows well, normal paint chips and dings for the mileage. Normal hood chips, two dings below the gas filler about 1" across, 24" long scratch on the passenger side of the bed and two 4" scratches on the drivers side of the bed. Drivers side of the seat has a 1 1/2" seam seperation. The interior and dash pad is immaculate, even the pedal pads only show slight wear. Steering wheel has two short 1" cracks at the cross bars. The radio and windshield wipers are on the same fuze and one of them blows the fuze, most likely the wipers. Standard Brakes and Steering, no power assist and the brakes are drum all around (I have the parts to convert it to Power Steering and Brakes on hand). Brakes pull slightly to the left on braking (Probably adjustment). Even the emergency brake works. Smokes slightly on start up (Valve seals most likely). Has a white aluminium bed cap that the owner bought from the dealer when he took delivery. Good tires and full size spare with a good 20,000 miles of tread left on them. The cab supports are just starting to rust through on the face and the passenger inner wheel well below the battery has rusted through about 6"x 2" (probably from battery acid overflow). She starts and runs excellent, goes down the road stright and if you put your foot in it, it shouldn't be too hard to get a ticket as you can squeel it off the line in drive. It gets that good four barrel sound when you kick it. $4,500 (She who must be obeyed said she had to have it. You should have seen the look on her face when she let go of the money. If she has two Buff Nickles in her pocket she can make them poop.) Well did we do good or did we bite the big one? |

If you have any pics of the interior I'd love to see them. I have a '70 with the same paint, but my interior plastic and vinyl are kind of a bad match for the paint... There were so many versions of the green scheme -- just curious to see what yours looks like.
