72 Chevy
I have been wanting a 67-72 Chevy truck for a long time and I found this one on Ebay and I am thinking about bidding on it. I have already saw it in person and even driven it. It drives very good and everything else that the seller says was true. What do you guys think of this truck, I am kind of new at older vehicles? Here is a link to it: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...%3ALC%3AMT%3A1 .

I saw the same one. How much rust is there? The rest looks great.

I would not put off the rust under the back window bery long. Catch it quick as you can. As least you know exactly what color it is....and where the paint was purchased. I think it is a really clean truck. I don't see you being sorry you bought it. Worst case, if you hate it later, you won't have problems selling it.
Oh, and by the way...WELCOME TO THE BOARD FROM CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI

Nice truck. One concern would be that the vin tag rivets have been changed. This is not legal, lol. The vin # does match the glove box though. You might want to check to make sure that the frame #s match the vin tag and title. The frame #s are located on top of the frame, just behind the steering sector, and also under the driver's seat area. If the #s, all match, I wouldn't be concerned, as you can buy the original GM rossett rivets to go back in it. More than likely it's not a stolen truck, but check it out to be sure. Good luck.

First off welcome to the board!!
There's a couple of comments by the seller that are a little misleading. The Cheyenne package did not come with rally wheels, but rather hubcaps on the steel wheels (option can be seen on the glove box sticker). Also, the truck does not have a 'full gauge cluster', a factory tach was available and not ordered on this particular turck. The fact that the FM doesn't work, that it leaks oil, and the shocks are wearing out would keep me from spending too much on it (relative term), but I'm a little bit of a tight a$$ too! I would much rather bargain with the seller than bid on it on an auction, but that's just me. Other than that, it's a very nice looking truck! Good luck! Paul

This is my truck, but soon to be somebody else's truck.
Yes, the vin tag has been removed and replaced. The previous owner said that this was done during the repaint. I can only assume that this is true. As for the misleading info on the Cheyenne package and the gauges, that was just due to my ignorance. Its a good old truck and I just need to sell it. Feel free to contact me with questions or just post them here. Thanks for looking |

First, welcome to the board.
Not a bad looking Truck. It needs some TLC, but looks very solid. I'd buy it. One word of caution: Don't post anything like this ever again on this board, because these Vultures on here will make you Bid your butt off in order for you to get that truck. While they are the nicest guys and gals you'd ever want to meet, don't give them a chance to Bid on anything. Jeezz man, you're just feeding their fire, LOL!!!

The truck is mine, and apparently it still is. A guy from England bidded $4100 at the very second. I was immediately suspicious. I really didn't want to ship a truck to England. Anyway, I just got an email saying that the winning bidder's account was suspended due to bids being made without the account owner's consent. Weird. Ebay is going to allow me to relist it for free though.
