lug nut size?
Would my truck ('77 C20) have 1/2in or 9/16 lugs? If it helps, I have to use a 7/8 socket on the lug nuts. I'm looking to buy some double-threaded nuts so I can use Chevy centercaps with my new Hummer H2 wheels.

9/16"
The 1/2" studs on 8-lug trucks was abandoned around '71 or so. Might have a hard time with those external threaded lug nuts... the OE ones are metric.

Lug Nuts
The right lug nuts are the 9/16, I bought the same ones for my truck, got them from ebay also, was the best deal I could find anyplace.

The lug nuts you need are talked about in this write up:
http://www.gmtrucks.org/wiki/faq/8_lug_wheels I got them at a local wheel place for really cheap, but you can get them here: www.ezaccessory.com |
