AC Question - thermostat?
finishing up the last thing to wire in my engine compartment - the AC components. I wired the evap housing up, but i'm missing one thing - the two green wires from the compressor cutoff switch, one goes to the compressor, the other goes to the "AC thermostat" or something???? any idea what that is, where it is, and where i can get one!?!??!

Should have two seperate sensors. One is the pressure switch, found on one of the refrigerant lines, and the other is the anti-ice switch. It looks like a thermostat which has a lead which is inserted into the evaporator core. Should be able to get either at a parts store

Here are some pics of mine. Green wire from compressor goes to the pressure switch, then to the thermo switch, then into the cab to the control head.
You can see the thermo switch on the bottom of the evaporator housing, directly below the fan relay. Has the green wires running to it. |
