Quick vent window question
On a 86' with the vent windows. You know the metal strip that is on the outside of the window part, Im wondering if anyone knows what kind of metal this is? AS Im gonna be redoing my vent windows soon, and I had the idea of trying to polish that metal to a chrome like finish, and I just need to know the type of metal that it is.
Also, anyone know where I can buy a new frame for the driver's side vent window? I broke the stud part that goes into the bottom part of the door, and I can't see to find a new one except in LMC for 150 for the whole thing when all I need is a new frame. Thanks

If you are talking about the vertical strip of metal separating the door glass from the vent window, it is just plain steel. Well, I assume so since mine has surface rust on it.
