Need some info on door panel restoration

Just picked up a 76 C10 and interior is in great shape except the door panels are faded (surprize). I'd like to redo them back to original but not sure what color they were (truck is green) exactly and where to get the dye that would be correct.

If anyone can tell me where to get the proper dye I would really appreciate it.

Thanks.

You need SEM paint. I think Eastwood carries it.

SEM's stuff by eastwood is the best! Jeff (bigblock73) recommended it to me and i used it... dyed my dash, headliner trim with it... mostly satified with the results... the only complaint i had was (as Jeff advised me) is to make sure that you do your last coat w/ a mostly full can... otherwise, the color may vary a little bit. otherwise, if you can front the $9/can, and follow the directions, you'll do well!

check this link out for some pics of my tan to grey process!

I learned that trick the hard way, don't know why id does it, but it does. Did it actually happen to you too?

Even so, I am also a happy SEM customer, and will use their products again when I restore the center console.

ya - i could tell a noticiable difference as the cans got low... i was fortunate enough to find it @ my local paint supply for the same price as eastwood... and no shipping!

Does anyone have the past few threads on this subject bookmarked? I did a search and couldn't find them. If no one has it, I will go into detail again...

Yeah. I believe that most autobody/paint places carry the SEM dye. Look for it there before ordering off eastwood and save yourself some shipping.
