20x10 Boyd Coddington Smoothie II's on the 62'

Had the BC's fitted yesterday at my friends shop (After Flash Customs). Ordered 20x10 Boyd Coddington Smoothie II's wrapped in 275/40/20 front and 275/45/20 back. They should arrive in 3-4 weeks (the ones in the pictures are 20x10 w/275/35/20 all around). from there its on to the lowering part, looking to go 3.5/5, swapping in a 12 bolt posi w/ a totally polished watts link setup (www.totallypolished.com).

THANKS Friz!! That helps me invision it so much better. I can't wait to get it down, looks like a 4x4 right now, the front clears perfectly lock to lock, the wheels have 5.75 to 6 backspacing. The rears we will have to trim/roll the outer lip a bit, and trim the inside bedside, we are going to then raise the floor 2"'s. this is the concept right now but it could change if they talk me into bags.

Thanks for the compliments and advice, those Intro's look awesome too! Choices..... My wife actually was the one who picked them out and assured me "These were the Ones"! I guess I need to listen to her more

Thanks, I have always loved the "Fat, Bulldogish" look of the stepsides especially in these year trucks, thats why we went with 20x10's and lowering to give it an even "wider" look.

Matt is soooooo right about baggin' it now. Trust me once you start lowering it you can't stop! I started with 2/4" drop and then lowered it enough to C notch is and now I have tore into it all over again and throwing a notch big enough to tuck 22's in back and choppin' the front end up to lay on 245/35/20's

Yeah I can faintly hear her........bag it Bag it bag it Bag it, it appears it is getting louder

We will see, I am sure when we get going on this phase (suspension/brakes) like each of you said it will probabley end up bagged. What I do know for sure is, four wheel disk, (slotted, drilled and oversized), Totally Polished watts link, 12 bolt posi rear (3.73), trailing arm reinforcement kit (ECE), all graphite/poly bushings. front and rear sway bars (if they will work)

I will keep you posted as we progress through the winter, hopefully it can all be done (suspension/brakes) come spring, so we can move to the other things. This winter we will be rebuilding the TH350, or if I have enough cash laying around (remodling my daughters bathroom right now) I want to install a 700R4, My father in law is a mechanic by trade and Ol' school drag and stock car racer from the 50's through the 80's. He wants to build the motor and tranny setup for this one.
