thinking about buying a 66 shortbed
A friend of mine is selling a 66 shortbed. The body is in decent shape. The thing is there is no motor or tranny. And no interior.I am used to working on 67-72's and parts are very easy to find for them.I know 60-66's have similar suspension setups but are they the exact same?
Also interior parts are another problem are they readily avaliable? Thanks for any input

Everything engine and tranny wise is the same as your familiar 67-72's.
I learned this stuff on my 64. I used 67-72 everything, frame mounts, crossmembers, brackets, pulleys, etc. Radiator is the main difference mechanically between the two as far as engine and trans stuff goes. I used a complete 69 suspension in my 64, updating the brakes with discs and such from ECE. It was all bolt in.

Interior parts are really easy to find. Most of it being metal, if you find a part in a junkyard it should be in pretty good shape.
