vent window rubber
Where can I get the tool to smash the special rivets on my new vent window rubber. I've taken the windows to a local glass shop and after scratching my frames up he told me he couldnt do it, and then asked me if I wanted to rent his tool for 25.00 and let me try
The guy kinda ticked me off so I bailed I think the tool is like a dimple die ?? anyone done this or should I try another shop.. looks like something I could do if I just had the right tool.. any help is appreciated.. eric

I use a regular pop rivet gun. If you put a small tube on the rivet shaft it will let you get the rivet into the channel. It acts as an extender for the gun. I use a top off of a spark plug, (the screw on type), but a small tube will work. The extension has to be about 1/2" long.

LMC included one with my kit. I'd take the pop rivet advice by JimK next time.
