Ok, so I got the truck running today, and I backed up brakes worked fine even screeched a little, put it in drive to go around the block and after about brakeing twice bam peddle to the floor like I just lost pressure. so I turn it off and wait push the pedle and bam pressure, so I go to start it again drive hit the brakes about twice bam peddle to the floor.

What is going on? my truck is now on the side of a road

and my driveway is at a slope so I cant just like coast in.

How much fluid in the master cylinder? Any visible leaks? Power or manual brakes? Will they pump up?

front disc brakes rear drums power brakes? i would check for leakings do an full visual check frist. check the wheel clyiders make sure they are not blown check the master cyliders i don't think its an adjustment problem or it would do it all the time. i would bleed the whole system you might have air in it

It sounds like your master cylinder is not working. When my master cylinder died, the brake pedal would drop to the ground. I had to pump the brake pedal a few times to get some pressure. Hope this helps.

thats what I am thinking

I have power brakes, with drums all the way around, new brake hardware shoes and brake cylenders. There were no leaks around the wheels, but I think that my MC is going out, and the crappy thing is that the lines to the prop valve are soo close to being rounded off bc of the PO.

Does your parking brake work? Could you use to move the truck into the driveway?

nope its not adjusted I am going to try that tomorrow afternoon

Ok so quick question can/would it be safe to use a C-20 MC on a C-10 would it mess up the brake cylenders lines prop valve etc? I am going to get a new mc and brake lines from the MC to the Prop Valve today so I wanted to know before I go

yea sounds like the master cylinder, my g-pas truck did that once and all u can do is pump it for pressure
