Thread Locked; Post Deleted.... Why?
My 'What's it Worth' post was deleted & the thread was closed. Why?
I did not list the truck as 'For Sale' or it would have been in the proper forum & I would pay my $25 fee first. I use this site regularly to gather information & when possible, offer help to others. In this instance, I needed information to make an educated assessment on the value of the truck. How am I supposed to do that w/o an honest assessment from my peers? I do not need this info solely for the 67-72 truck board. I would actually be advertising it for sale locally because it's easier to allow someone to just come & look @ the vehicle themselves. From my original post, there were: 3 seperate evaluations of the trucks condition & possible market worth; 2 basic general comments; 1 offer of interest to possibly purchase. The evaluations were what I was looking for, the general comments appreciated, & the 1 offer to purchase the truck was not solicited. Although I'm currently not a supporting member, I am a contributing member. I do not use the board only as a method to personally profit. This post is not to generate controversy. I would go straight to whomever closed the thread & deleted my post but it seems that when moderators deem that action is necessary, there's no indication of which moderator. I believe there are 5 possible moderators for the 67~72 forum. Might I suggest that a moderators signature be left when they feel it's necessary to delete a post or close a thread so the person knows who to contact?

My guess would be....Some people, maybe not you, would use your method to get the message out that they are selling there ride. This way would of course be bypassing the sale policy on the board.
Don't take offense, I'm only speculating.

I don't know who closed it, but as far as I know "What is it worth" threads are still OK. There have been reports of the thread starters pm'ing responders trying to sell without posting it in the Parts board. Pm one of the Admins/Super Mods and see what happened.

Re: Thread Locked; Post Deleted.... Why?
Seems that most of the whats it worth threads are turning into for sale threads right in front of our eyes.

The truck is no where near ready to sell & probably wouldn't be until sometime early next year. I do need the information now so I can determine to invest a little more or get out from under it as is. Quote:

Did you try to PM Josh or Liz? That is the route I would reccomend,
sometimes post like this end up turning south for the wrong reason, I would PM them and see what they have to say about it, JMHO
