Powertrax Or Eaton

I Have An 84 Swb Truck With A 12 Bolt Rearend From A 81 Truck. I Want To Replaced The Gears With 3.42's And I Also Want To Install
A Posi Or Limited Slip Unit. Any Suggestions On What Product To Buy And Install?

Eaton, the powertrax works but they are noisy. Alot of people use the powertrax because you can install them with out having to remove the gears. Since you are going to do a gear swap anyways I would use the eaton. I buy all my stuff from Randys Ring and Pinion.

I've got the powertrax, only because I already had a 3.42 12 bolt and didn't want to break it down. It IS kinda noisy when cornering but I don't mind that too much. The true test for me is seeing if it'll really handle that 800+ hp that they claim it will.

When I grenade it I'll put a 9" in anyhow

eaton def. i havent personally ran one yet b/c i couldnt wait to drive the truck so i didnt order i realy regreate that but i am going to put aone in the next gear set i build (f#$^ 9 inch is installed) this way i can have the daily driver single spinner and after an hour or so i can change it to a lower gewar and a carrier to lspin them up together
