Spedometer question?

My spedometer gets kinda jumpy on me at freeway speeds.
I don't know exactly how fast but once it gets up to 60 ish it kinda jumps around. I had it at jumping between 70 and 75 and was getting passed alot so i don't think I was near that speed. I can never find one of those "your speed is sign" to check it out.
Is it definatly the speedometer or can something else be going wrong?

Re: Spedometer question?

There are a few things... the easiest would be to lube the cable. Not likely, normally if the cable was at fault, ti would do this at lower speeds.
Personally, I had one do this recently becouse the needle was rubbing the speedo face.
