G78/15 what's the equivalent in todays tire?

What is the tire size closest to this in a radial? I was looking at an old work horse truck and it had these tires. They look bigger than 235/75/15. Thanks

That 235/75/15 is the size I would say would be the closest in a common tire size. the LT235/75/15 might be a little taller than a P235 passenger tire, also varies some by manufacturer.

Re: G78/15 what's the equivalent in todays tire?

P215-75R15 is probably pretty close and it may be a little bit bigger than the G78-15.

I use to run them two tires for years (back in the 1980's) and if IIRC this kind of puts it in the ballpark:

G78-15 < P215-75R15 < P225-75R15 <= H78-15 < P235-75R15
