Rokcrln's Tip & Flip dolly
I got my plans in the mail yesterday and am very happy with them. This looks like a great time-saver and can't wait to build one.
The plans were very complete and illustrated, not some crude drawing. |

Re: Rokcrln's Tip & Flip dolly
We used a computer 3d modeling system (SMART PLANT) and built each part component. This system is accurate to something like 1/128 of an inch Then we assembled the components per the drawings and instructions. It went together just like it should and looks like the photos. The only dimention we found that was off was the true length of the brace. It was so negligible that it didn't matter and actually would be a vent hole. We can rotate it into any view from any angle and now were going to build the real thing.

Re: Rokcrln's Tip & Flip dolly
Thanks guys! I am open to any input anyone has.. Mike as far as that brace you mentioned yes it is the one variable item in the parts list. And in the directions it is stated to only worry about aligning one end! As far as the angel I figured most guys are using a chop saw for cutting and you know as well as I do trying to cut a 47.54321* is not real critical when your rod or wire will fill the small gap. Anyways guys I look forward to you using your Dollys!

Re: Rokcrln's Tip & Flip dolly
Just reviewed the plans, I found the instructions and diagrams/pictures very easy to understand. I believe anyone with basic skills can build this. I can't wait to get started. Thanks Kevin, well done!!
