Where does the spare tire mount on a 71 short fleet with leaf springs?

Either under the bed, or if you have the side mount option in the bed

Nope but in the right rear corner of the bed between the tailgate and the fenderwell,well that's where my Brothers 72 is anyway

On my 71 short with leafs it is under the bed, I would assume thats where most of them would have been mounted.

Just an observation... Until I came to this site I never knew these trucks had a spare tire mount that was under the truck. Up here in the Great White North, every truck I ever saw until the last 10 years or so had the spare mounted on the inside of the fleetside.
