700R transplant

I just aquired a 700R transmission out of an 85 z28 camaro. how do i go about installing it in my 77 short half ton. it has a 350 engine and 350 trans. do i have to shorten the driveline? what about a flexplate? what about the crossmember ect.? thanks

You will need to drill holes for the transmission crossmember. The crossmember need to be moved back a little over 2". Visit this website for exact dimensions. http://www.tciauto.com/tech_info/trans_dims.htm
The driveshaft will have to be lengthened. Trucks all havebr long tailshaft tranny's. Most cars had short tailshaft tranny's. The 350TH oil lines are the same. Use the correct bracket to install the TV cable.
