Started a new project ....
Afriend of mine has a 63 chevy truck that need to be rewired so bad that its Here are some pics of what I have pulled so far he already went and clipped a whole crap load of wires.... I am sure there will be pleanty of ?'s to follow... Here are the pics and yes those are wire nuts!!!!!!

Does anybody here have a wireing diagram for one of thses trucks???? And does anyone have 3 wires comming out of the drivers side taillight socket? and if so whats it for??

MAn good luck to ya, wiring can be a pain in the ass. its a surprize that his truck hasnt cuaght fire from the rats nest of a wire job.

Can someone tell me why there are 3 white wires comming out of where the colum harness was I cannot believe the guy cut this apart.. Can anyone tell me what color wires do what????

There should be 3 wires coming from the left rear taillight socket, and 2 from the passenger side socket. 1 of the wires from the passenger side connects to the 1 of the 3 on the drivers side, the other 2 wires head up to the cab. I'll poke my head under the '62 in a bit to see what colors go to which wires. David

Here's a link to the '63 dash wiring. About middle of the diagram towards the top is the plug for the turnsignal wires.

Thanks you so much david I have been working on this thing all morning and the more I get into the more I find wrong looks like its gonna have a little of 72 parts mixed into it before I am done... I finished the engine compartment and taillight wireing.. I had to use 72 taillight pigtails so I will have to merge the wires under the rear of the truck..... Pics to follow..

Hey david thanks for all the pics and help I got the truck done and it has left the building.. I just ordered a new column harness for it and get the turn signals and running lights fixed on it.. Too bad the coulumn is so hacked that it needs to be replaced........
