73 engine swap
I,m wanting to swap a 91 TBI 350 and 700R4 out of a suburban into a 73
1/2 ton pickup 350/T350.Was wondering if anyone on this forum has done this and whats involved with it? |

I have not done the swap but I have worked on both. the 73 will need an electric fuel pump as I recall 12 lbs, you will have to add the ecm, you will have to wire the truck or use the 91's wire loom, The cross memember may be in the wrong place. the 700r4, is it cable drive speedo or electronic?, If it is electronic you will have to add the wires to the ecm. if it is cable drive you will have to change the dash cluster and make sure it can send the signal to the ecm. I'm not sure but I believe the splines on the drive line are different and maybe legnth.

The speedo is cable driven.Someone told me I could change intakes on the
Tbi motor and put a carb on it but I'd like to keep the Tbi if possible. |
