Wheel Back Spacing
Any one know the backspacing for 17 or 18 rims for these trucks?
Or does the size of the wheel matter??? |

This is one time when size doesn't matter. I have always heard 4 1/2 inches is just right no matter how tall the rim is.

hmmm.. that's good to know. My s10 takes the same backspacing. Looks like I can fit my future 18s for both trucks.

It depends on the ride height of the truck and wheel/tire size. And it also depends on whether you've got a stepside or fleetside. I have 5" BS on my 17x8's.

Just FYI Justin...S10's have a different bolt pattern ( 5on4 3/4) Our trucks have a 5 on 5 bolt pattern...

Hi chevyc10.
I guess you are right. I thought it was the same 5 3/4. I think ECE has one with the 5 3/4 front spindle/brake kit. I'll have to look that up. thanks again, jay

Bolt pattern for S10
That Is not true about the S10 I guess It will depend on the year of the S10. Because I have a set of S10 (92) Rims on my truck now and they fit perfect. ( now mods)

Some rear ends are wider than others, 67 has shorter axles than most. This will affect backspacing also. Be careful about a generic number.
