Hello From Central Florida
Hi everybody,
My name is Larry, and I live in the Orlando area. I recently bought a 1970 GMC 1500 Stepside truck. It's not a show truck by any means, but it's in pretty good shape, with very little rust. I'm almost finished restoring a 66 Chevelle SS396. Once I'm finished with that project, I plan to upgrade a few thing on the truck, like add PS, PB, disc brakes up front, AC and a bed make-over. I'm looking forward to becoming an active, contributing member here. |

Welcome to the board Larry. That is a nice truck. I use to have a red 1966 Chevelle SS396. Wish I still had it. Welcome from Western Kentucky.

Re: Hello From Central Florida
Thanks everybody. What a great site this is... Lots of info here, and some very knowledgeable and helpful members.
I'm real happy with my truck, but it does have a few kinks I'm working out. I'm in the middle of replacing my dash wiring harness right now. I hope to get finished in the morning. |

Re: Hello From Central Florida
Welcome to the board Larry. I think I ran into you a few weeks ago at the BBQ place on hwy 27 in Clermont. I mentioned the board at that time. Glad to see you made it on here. Truck looked great when I saw it. Here's a link to mine. If you ever go to Old Town, shoot me a PM on here and we can meet up.

I've finally gotten the truck to the point where I'm comfortable driving it around. I discovered some melted wires behind the dash when I was troubleshooting non functional front marker lights. You have yourself a very nice truck! I love the way the 67s look. especially lowered with those wheels. |
