1967 C-10 Front End Suspension swap

I want to swap my 67 front suspension for a later model front suspension. About a year ago I got a message from Longhorn Man about a dimple in the frame under the steering box. My question is can I dimple my frame to make the necessary clearance and How / where to to that.
I'm getting ready to change the front end and don't want the truck down too long. It's my daily driver. What other surprises are in store for me?
Thanks

If you have a cutting torch, you can heat it up till red, and dimple it with a hammer.
