Re: Gatorbuilt '59
Thanks everyone for the gracious welcome. Since everyone loves pictures I will do my best to document my progress. I have begun a little sheet metal work with my son. Please excuse the unfinished work, but I will post the finished(metal work) pictures later.

Re: Gatorbuilt '59
Ok,
dwcsr- To answer your question about Motor & Tranny. I have a 'Project Motor' that I built About two years ago. It a small block Chevy 400 bored .030 over. I had an Old Man tell me it is now a 406. It has 'double hump' Camaro heads with 2.02" intake & 1.60" exhaust, Bronze valve guides w/ 262 Competition Cam. Tranny is a 'street' rated 700R. |

Re: Gatorbuilt '59
Last weekend I finished filling in the holes in the firewall. Sanded them smooth, and glazed in some light weight body filler.

Re: Gatorbuilt '59
Thanks 'TEXASCOWBOY'. Yesterday I replaced the three panels that make up the lower drivers hinge pillar pocket. I am 'BIG' advocate of only replacing the trouble areas you need. Instead of using the entire replacement panel. I still need to finish sanding down those final spot welds.
