EDC help
I'm having some serious trouble locating a york 210 compressor around here.I've searched through the local junkyard and phoned several others.I think the biggest issue is that, while I've been told that they are found on early 80's fords,I don't know what specific models they are in and that really throws a kink into things when on the phone with a wrecker cuz they want specifics.
Early 80's F150s are very common around here so those are the main ones I've looked in,but they are all the motocraft style. If anyone can narrow down the year and model for me I'd really appreciate it!

Re: EDC help
You can also get them from a big rig junk yard or store. Thats where i got mine from they are also on ebay but shipping will probably be more than the actual compressor cost. Make sure that when ever you do buy one you do the oil fix. This will save a whole lot of hassle and its very simple to do.
P.S.If you dont have tanks you can also look at the big rig they are usually pretty cheap.

Re: EDC help
thanks el curioso appreciate the reply.I found this site last night which helped alot too, just in case anyone else is in the same boat .http://www.gmvanforums.com/modules.p...=article&sid=6
Now the new dilemma is that I found one off a 79 t-bird but it's a motocraft not a york.It looks exactly the same but will it work?I bought it just in case cuz they weren't wanting much for it and it pumps strong and has a good clutch. I'm wondering if the yorks came on american vehicles not canadian? Thx for the link too,I'll be checking that out too!

Re: EDC help
Got mine from a '79 T-bird. It's a 210. Check the crank snout when you pull the pulley off- if it's squared off- you've got a 210.

Re: EDC help
Mine was off a volvo, IIRC from what the PO said about it, I'm still searching
for brackets pre-made for the passenger side of the engine, I can find them for the drivers side, but nobody seems to make any for the passenger side
