gmc to chevy parts?
I'm going to the junkyard tomorow to get a coil setup and wanted to get a list of everything I needed panhard bar ,trailing arms and what else do I need?I can't afford the rearend right now,but can I somehow use mine or do I need to get the rearend also?

You don't need to change the rear axle if all you're doing is going from leaf to coil.

for what reason would I need to change the rearend?I plan on doing an airbag setup.

You won't need to change the rear at all. The U Bolts hold the rear to the trailing arms and the air bags will mount to the stock spring location on the trailing arms and to the frame.
Since you are going to run bags, just get new U Bolts for the rear and shock relocators too. New U Bolts are like $20 and I got a shock kit that came with 4 shocks and relocators for the back for $150. You will need a longer panhard bar for bags, so don't bother with the stock one. |
